About us.
The Berlin-based conscious beauty brand was founded by Jennifer Baum-Minkus with a clear mission – to ring in a new era for the beauty industry with product innovations that are better for both people and the planet. The brand represents a conscious and holistic approach to beauty that focuses on positive change and pushes the industry forward through innovation – from selecting safe ingredients and developing high-performing formulas or sustainably designed packaging solutions to rethinking standards. The close link between nature and science is at the heart of all gitti products. During development, gitti prioritises maximising the use of ingredients of natural origin and complements them with carefully selected, highly effective functional ingredients.
From the very beginning, gitti became known for its nail colours with innovative plant- and water-based formulas that offer high performance when it comes to brilliant shine and durability. Our colour collection is specially designed by our Creative Studio in Berlin. All gitti products are always vegan and PETA-approved. Over the years, gitti has grown into a global multi-category brand with a portfolio that ranges from nail products to make-up and skincare.
Founder story.
A few years ago, during a dinner party in Berlin, our founder Jenni was asked, “What would you do, if you weren’t afraid?”
An answer popped into her head immediately – glitter nail polish. That night, she began researching, for the first time in her life, the subject of nail polish. What she found out was shocking – many products contain ingredients that are considered controversial for their impact to the environment and our health. Two years and countless formula trials later, gitti nail polish was launched with alternative responsible ingredients—and it sold out in two hours.
